Nestled along the picturesque Whitburn Bents Road in Sunderland, The Seaburn Bay is not just a café; it’s a delightful retreat for food lovers. With its inviting atmosphere and a menu that caters to both traditional tastes and contemporary preferences, it's no surprise this café has become a must-visit spot for locals and visitors alike.
- Savory Offerings: The Seaburn Bay takes pride in its menu, brimming with flavorful dishes, from hearty fish and chips to tantalizing homemade patties. Each dish showcases quality ingredients, ensuring that each bite is a delightful experience.

- Gluten-Free Choices: Understanding diverse dietary needs, The Seaburn Bay offers a selection of gluten-free options without compromising on taste. From gluten-free fish bites to cod and chips, everyone can enjoy a hearty meal.
Reflecting on my recent visit, I was particularly impressed by the Small Fish and Chips priced at just £11.00. The batter was perfectly crispy, encasing tender fish that flaked delightfully. Accompanied by a side of mushy peas, which added a classic touch, I truly savored each bite. Customers particularly rave about the Full English breakfast, highlighting the mega black pudding and overall quality of ingredients.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, enhanced by the amiable staff who ensure every guest feels welcomed. As Sandra Gardner eloquently stated, “It's the best by far on quality and price.” It captures the essence of what The Seaburn Bay aims to deliver: a combination of top-notch comfort food and exceptional service.
However, it’s worth noting that The Seaburn Bay is not halal, a caution shared by some patrons who appreciate the café’s transparency regarding their cooking practices.
In conclusion, if you’re in the Sunderland area and craving authentic comfort food, The Seaburn Bay should definitely be on your list. Their unique dish names add a touch of whimsy, while still offering delicious and satisfying meals that will keep you coming back for more!

NOT HALAL This place is amazing, clean and good ambiance. I really appreciate their honesty and we should admire them for that. Really recommend them.It is a shame they cook both sausages and fish on the same oil. For that reason I would NOT recommend this place if you are a halal-only eater!!!!I truly hope that the shop owners would take my review into consideration and make necessary changes for more inclusive service. Also it is not ideal to cook both meat and fish on the same oil.
